I build creator-powered revenue engines for consumer brands. That is the simplest way I can describe what I do.
The longer version: I design and operate the systems that allow consumer brands to leverage the creator economy — specifically TikTok Shop and creator affiliate programs — to drive scalable, profitable revenue growth. I am currently Head of TikTok at Crowned Skin, a men's grooming brand that appeared on Shark Tank ABC, where I built and operate the brand's TikTok Shop presence from the ground up.
I have been in eCommerce for years, and I have watched the economics of customer acquisition deteriorate steadily on traditional platforms. Meta CPMs have risen dramatically. Google search competition has intensified. The brands that built their growth on paid social are facing a structural challenge: the cost of acquiring a customer through paid channels is increasingly difficult to justify against customer lifetime value.
The creator economy offers a fundamentally different model. Instead of paying for impressions upfront, you build a network of creators who earn commissions on the sales they drive. Your cost of acquisition is performance-based and directly tied to revenue. And unlike paid ads, great creator content has a shelf life measured in weeks, not hours.
More importantly, creator-driven commerce is built on trust. When a creator recommends a product to their audience, they are lending their credibility to your brand. That trust is worth more than any ad impression you can buy.
My approach to building creator-powered revenue engines is grounded in three principles.
Systems over headcount. The brands that scale successfully on TikTok Shop are not the ones with the largest teams. They are the ones with the best infrastructure. Automated creator qualification, automated sample fulfillment, tiered communication, and performance analytics replace the need for large teams and allow programs to scale to hundreds of active affiliates.
Authenticity over control. The brands that try to script their creators' content consistently underperform. The brands that give creators context and then trust them to be authentic consistently outperform. This is counterintuitive for brand marketers trained to control messaging, but the data is unambiguous.
Impact over vanity metrics. I care about contribution margin, not GMV. I care about customer lifetime value, not conversion rate. I care about the quality of the creator relationships we build, not just the number of creators in the program. The metrics that matter are the ones that connect to the long-term health of the business.
When I joined Crowned Skin in December 2024, the brand had zero TikTok Shop presence. Within the first year, we took the brand to the #2 position in men's skincare on TikTok Shop, sold over 150,000 units, and generated nearly 200 million views across creator content.
That result was not the product of a single brilliant strategy. It was the product of disciplined infrastructure building, systematic creator activation, and a relentless focus on the metrics that actually matter.
I believe the creator economy is the most significant shift in consumer commerce since the rise of social media. The brands that understand this — that see creators not as a marketing channel but as a distribution infrastructure — will have a structural advantage over the next decade.
The brands that continue to treat creators as a line item in their influencer marketing budget will find themselves increasingly unable to compete on customer acquisition economics.
The opportunity is real. The window to build the infrastructure and the creator relationships that will define the next era of consumer commerce is open right now.
I am building in that window. And I am looking for brands that want to build with me.
